The Role

As a Business Support Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Office / Business Support Manager, the post holder provides day to day administrative and business support to a defined group of SLT members based at our Head Office at Wigmore Street on approximately 1:5 subject to relationship basis.

Day-to-day, you’ll complete a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks for SLT member including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings:

  • Successfully completes critical aspects of activity independently and with a hands-on approach.
  • Prioritises conflicting needs; handling matters expeditiously, proactively and following-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Conserve SLT time by reading, researching, collecting, and analysing information, as needed, in advance.
  • Complete ad-hoc activity as assigned.
  • Serve as the SLT administrative liaison for colleagues across Babcock Group.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office / onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential Experience of the Business Support Specialist:

  • Proven success in a similar role.
  • Ability to decipher priorities and make sound judgement calls when needed.
  • Commitment to excellence and performing duties at the highest level on a consistent basis.
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to interact with people of all levels in a confident and professional manner.
  • Proven experience, ability, and temperament to work with sensitive information.
